The first week of September 2008, I slipped on a stack of newspapers lying on my kitchen floor, going down hard on my right arm and shoulder. It hurt right away, especially when I tried to raise my arm. It felt like a really bad sprain. The next week we had Hurricane Ike. I further aggravated my arm and shoulder for the next two weeks hauling buckets of water for 20 horses I was taking care of at my stable, because we were without electricity. By the time I came to see Dr. Gohlke my arm felt like it was going to fall off. She immediately began working on it with exercises and manipulation.
After a several visits, my arm and shoulder were feeling better, and I was starting to get some mobility back. Because I was still having some pain, Dr. Gohlke then suggested we try acupuncture. I was literally amazed at the end of my first acupuncture treatment how much the pain was relieved. We had a few more acupuncture sessions, and the pain was completely gone.
I had never used chiropractic or acupuncture before. I recommend both types of treatment and Dr. Gohlke highly.
